Happy Thanksgiving!
at
Home2b.nl
Many cultures have a Thanks-giving day
which is the day that appreciation is given
for the fruitful harvest for that year and
for the good health of the people.
A fruitful harvest meant that there was enough food
to bring the inhabitants through until the next harvest.
This was something to be thankful for in those difficult times.
In our present circumstances, if a particular country does not
bring in enough harvest, the country imports
the needed food from another country.
If this was not possible, there was famine.
However even though we do not put all of our hopes
into having a good harvest,
we still have much to be thankful for.
It is very important to give gratitude.
When you put your attention on what is lacking,
you continue to attract lack into your life.
When we put our attention on our blessings and are grateful for them,
then we increase them in our lives.
Do you understand?
It does not matter when you celebrate a Day of Giving Thanks.
It is important that you do this. It can be a day
that is set aside by your culture
or you can choose one you feel an affinity with or
you can just choose a special day for this.
Of course, it is important to be thankful
every day but is it nice if you can turn a time of plenty
into a time or day of giving gratitude and
celebrating this with others.
I wish you all a Happy Giving of Thanks day!
